Movie Mojo (No.2) Sex Tape

Back again today Internet! Extra post today! So.. I'll be reviewing the new movie "Sex Tape" which... wasn't as bad as I expected. (didn't say it was good)

Sex Tape stars Jason Segal ,who got his big break in How I Met Your Mother; and Cameron Diaz who got her big break in the movie industry.

The movie follows the 2 main characters Annie (Diaz) and Jay (Segal) as they film a Sex tape and instead of just leaving it in their computer they upload it to the cloud.

And share it.

Now, if you are like me I like to poke holes into movies and everything that has holes that can be poked. This movie wouldn't have happened if they weren't so stupid (It's like the purge and the little boy)

But overall the movie was funny and both Diaz and Segal were great in it.

8.4/10

Hey everyone, today's story is cool and kinda crazy as well.

WCB or Westboro Baptist Church is a very controversial and hateful church whose anti-gay views and opinions may be considered radical. Of course, they like to picket many artist's performances, as many songs are based loosely or directly on "homosexuality and its sins"
P!ATD frontman Brandon Urie was open about his fluid sexuality but he is now with his wife Sarah

Now take those 2 equations and put them together. Seems kinda bad for PATD right?

Nah. Today on facebook, the group tweeted "today @wcbsays is going to picket us. For every member of WCB that actually shows up we will donate $20 to HRC #pride2014"

HRC is a group called the Human Rights Campaign which fights for human rights.

Hello again internet, didn't have anything to talk about today so I decided to talk about Adam Levine. Of course, he's something of every ladies dreams. But yesterday (Saturday July 18 2014) he got married to the beautiful Behati Prinsloo.

Now, to recap, they got married at a private resort in Mexico; In a very very close and personal wedding reception. Take a look at the photo below.

Pop Culture (No.4) Bragelina Reuinion

Can you believe it's almost 10 years since the release of the motion picture Mr & Mrs. Smith? The movie where the star-studded Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt starred along-side each other in an action packed and semi-romantic thriller/action/adventure/espionage movie? Me neither internet.

Once again, let's talk about each of these people before we get into the article.

Angelina Jolie (39) is a prestigious actress who got her big break with Cyborg 2, the second motion picture she starred in. Since then she has gone on to receive these and not limited to- 1 Oscar, 2 Sag awards, 3 golden globes. She has also been a major part in the humanitarianism movement.

Brad Pitt (50) is also a well known actor in the movie world. He has been in over 50 moves and has racked up 1 Oscar, 1 golden globe and 1 Sag award.

Now... why bring these 2 up if the movie they were in was 10 years ago? Well because this.

Angelina will be writing and directing, while Brad is on co-producer in the Universal Pictures movie, "By the sea." This will also be the first movie in which they co-star with each other SINCE Mr and Mrs. Smith. Amazing right?

Pop Culture (No.3) Adam Levine's Wedding

Yello internet! Back with another article, this time it's about Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo

Let's talk a little bit about these two people to the left.

Adam Levine (35) is the frontman for the grammy award winning band- Maroon 5. He has since branched off into a solo artist and an actor (His debut in Begin Again, which was just released). Adam is also a judge on the smash-hit NBC reality show- "The Voice"

Behati Prinsloo (25) is a Namibian model for the brand Victoria's Secret. in 2008 she was the face of their sub-brand "Pink" from there she became one of the most prominent Victoria's Secret Angels as she has been in every single Angel walkway since 2009, the year she was announced to enter that part of VS.

Access Hollywood got the downlow today that "The Voice" coach Adam Levine and "Angel" Behati Prinsloo would be married this Saturday (19) in a private wedding ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Taking into consideration everything from their engagement to now, this couple may or may not withstand the test of time.

Pop Culture (No.2) MTV VMA Nominations

MTV VMA nominations were announced today! Internet, this is going to be the breakdown of this year's nominees. So let's do it like we did it before. But first of all, can you believe it's almost going to be 1 year since Miley Cyrus infamously twerked on Robin Thicke? Beyonce leads the pack this year, because... BEYONCE! LET THE QUEEN SLAY MY PEOPLES, DO IT. Beyonce captivated the peoples as she has 8 nominations at this award show.
Okay. Let's jump right in.

Let's break down our video of the year nominees.

Video Of The Year

"Fancy"- Iggy Azalea feat. Charlie XCX

Beyonce feat. Jay-Z- "Drunk In Love"

"Happy"- Pharrell Williams

Sia- "Chandelier"

"Wrecking Ball"- Miley Cyrus

Now, these are all very good nominees. Let's just break down each video a little bit. And rate it on it's controversy, music and overall. (respectively)

Fancy- 1, 6, 8

Fancy rung in our ears for 7 weeks at the top of the charts. Although most people didn't even know there was a music video, the song is catchy.

Drunk In Love- 3, 7, 9

Drunk In Love was the second single off of the sudden drop of Beyonce's new album. Featuring her boo Jay-Z this song was popular for a loooooooong time. Surfboard.

Happy- 1, 6, 8

Happy brought our new poppy fun lyrics with the old jazzy feel. Happy was so mind numbing that it was on the charts for over 5 weeks.

Chandelier- 6, 8, 9

Sia's publicity for this new album has been... well none. Sia did not advertise the album like some artists do and that brought the sales down. But it still made her first no.1 billboard album. Chandelier is in the top 25 and her controversial performances with a paper bag over her face brought the controversy chart to 6

Wrecking Ball- 10, 7, 8

Cyrus's wrecking ball was definitely a force to be reckoned with this year. Lasting longer on the charts than her other smash hit- "We Can't Stop" the video for Wrecking ball flaunted Miley on well... a wrecking ball.

Winner- Too close to call.

Hello once again Internet. Today's video is definitely a little bit more sad and dark than all the other ones I have linked to before.

Meet Rebecca Brown. A beautiful young woman from the U.K who started documenting her rough journey through life at the age of 15. She took a selfie a day and compiled "about 2,100" selfies (as said in her description box) in this roughly 4 minute video.
Rebecca was diagnosed with depression and was thinking of many dark thoughts which led toa condition called Trichotillomania which is a condition in which a person is almost forced, by themselves, to pull out their hair. This is why, for a few parts in the video, she was bald.
The project she took on is still going on and is a powerful way to show how much can change in your life and how much you can overcome.

Now let's talk about it. Marvel Comics thinks that this new "woman" change will create a larger audience for the teenage girls out there. I support the equal rights-ness of this gutsy move, but why was it for the market? Why couldn't they just do it for women everywhere?
Anyhow, the beefcake that is Christ Hemsworth will no longer play Thor in the Thor movies and in the Avengers movie. This will be the LARGEST change in the upcoming changes to a few characters.

Movie Mojo (No.1) Horns

HI again internet! This is another brand new segment called- Movie Mojo. Of course, it's all about movies... yea.

Yesterday the trailer for the new movie "Horns" was released. In this movie, the movie's main character Ignateous "Ig" Perrish; played by Daniel Radcliffe; wakes up after a drunky night and finds 2 horns on his head. He then gains superpowers- yada yada yada, and is then persecuted for them.
Of course- let's put this into perspective- this movie is already probably quite phenomenal. To be an indie film from CANADA in the TIFF and then be picked up by lionsgate and turned into a major motion picture is a thing of its own.
The movie is loosely based off of the book by Joe Hill of the same name.

Watch the wizard take off his hat and trade it for some horns down below.

TV Time

Once again, Internet! Back again with a new article in the brand new segment titled TV Time, where we'll talk about.... TV.

American Horror Story is an anthology series that is incredibly creepy, awesome and funny (Kinda like you internet!) So if we take all 3 seasons of AHS and then combine them and add a little more creepy then you got this season.
They have the powerhouse Sarah Paulson- whose scream I absolutely adore. The amazing Kathy Bates and Peter Chiklis. Evan Peters and the ever so stunning Emma Roberts.
But this year is definitely about the ABSOLUTELY AMAZERING WOMAN- Jessica Lange.
Lange has 39 awards under her belt including 2 Oscars, 2 Emmys (She's nominated this year as well), 5 Golden Globes and 1 SAG award.
And sadly, after this last show, Lange will be retiring from acting at the age of 66.

But in all recent news, this topic was brought up for one reason. THIS

The Maybe Trailer for AHS: Freakshow, the upcoming season of American Horror Story. Although it is not confirmed, this looks really really cool and creepy and everything about my life. (When the new season drops, I'll be doing reviews!)

Germany Takes The World Cup!

Back again internet!

If some of you don't know that the world cup has been happening in the past few weeks... have you been under a rock?

Well.. spoiler alert but.. Germany takes the world cup.
After a heated and intense match of soccer between the 2 leading teams (Argentina vs. Germany) Germany managed to score a goal, making the game a 1-0 win.

Although Argentia's lead player- Lionel Messi did not win the cup, he did win the Golden soccer ball for best player... but that doesn't seem to cheer him up.

Well, hello there, fancy meeting you here internet. What's that? This is your home? But it feels juuuust right.

Most of us have probably heard of the goldilocks and three bears story and about millions of those over-commercialized Disney princesses that we still worship like the idols. 4 days ago (I know, I'm late on the hype train aren't I?) the YouTube channel- Only Leigh- posted a parody/ mashup of OITNB and Frozen.

Frozen- the really really over commercialized, bland and actually uninteresting cartoon for us older kids. But is still worshipped (to this day) as one of the Gods. It took home the Oscar for best animation and it also birthed the horrible horrible memes of "Let it go" and the snowman one. I don't even want to mention it.

Orange Is The New Black- the really really over commercialized, exciting and actually interesting drama about a lady who goes to jail. But is confronted with many life-changing decisions while in the little hell-hole.

Now, I don't know about you but I think it's a great idea to mash something so serious with something sooo annoying. (I feel like my Frozen standpoint is just a touch negative).

But because this is the internet, anything goes.

So... here is. Frozen is the new black.

Viral Videos (No 2.)

Back again internet! This segment is now named Viral Videos (Such a creative name for a post right?)

Now I bet that most of the readers of this post have watched this viral video titled "First Kiss" which, is exactly what the title says. If you haven't, here's the run-down. A person gets a bunch of people to kiss each other. And they are complete strangers. Of course this video absolutely BLEW up with over 86 MILLION VIEWS! 

Now for the less known part. Most people probably don't know about the show called "Masters of Sex" on Showtime. I personally don't want to know, but... it's there, and it's a thing. 

So let's take these and merge them in a semi-happy marriage.

This video was uploaded yesterday onto Tatia Pillieva's YouTube channel, the same one that posted the Viral Video- First Kiss. It currently has a little over 300,000 views on YouTube and it's like to dislike ratio is about 25 likes for every dislike (pretty good if you ask me). This video was in collaboration with the showtime show and is an Advertisement, at least they say it right up front instead of making us ponder about it.

Pop Culture (No.1) Emmy Nominations 2014

I'm back from a really brief hiatus (like 2 hours) internet!

For the first pop culture report I'm doing Emmys! Today the nominees for this award have come down. The top nominees were HBO's Game of Thrones with 19, FX's Fargo miniseries with 18, AMC's Breaking Bad with 16 for it's final season.

Now let's break down some of the highlight nominations why don't we?

Outstanding Drama Series

• Breaking Bad
• Downton Abbey
• Game of Thrones
• True Detective
• House of Cards
• Mad Men

Now, all of these Drama nominees are outstanding, it was a pretty sure-fire that these were going to be the nominees. Of course Breaking Bad concluded it's impressive streak as one of AMC's most viewed TV series' ever. Downton Abbey, True Detective, House of Cards and Mad Men all shined with many moments in their seasons. Game of Thrones' fourth season not only made it the most watched HBO series, but also the MOST pirated series ever. The premier of the 4th season literally crashed the HBOGO server and they took over 4 hours to get it fixed.

My prediction for winner? Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad.

Outstanding Comedy Series

• The Big Bang Theory
• Silicon Valley
• Louie
• Modern Family
• Orange Is The New Black
• Veep

To be honest, I haven't watched half of these shows. But from the ones I watched, this batch is quite impressive. Of course Modern Family is the beast in this category, winning almost every single one but I thought that the very hype-driven Orange is the New Black was much better than this season of Modern Family.

Outstanding TV miniseries

• American Horror Story: Coven
• Bonnie&Clyde
• Fargo
• Luther
• Treme
• The White Queen

Again, I didn't watch many of these but I feel that the miniseries category is too broad, it encompasses all the genres of miniseries but I get that they can't make a million of little statues to make it nice right? Fargo was absolutely one of the most intense TV shows this past year. American Horror Story: Coven was generally a weak season, but Lange and Paulson were absolutely phenomenal in it.

Prediction- Fargo

My Emmy Upsets

I only have 3 upsets with this year's Emmys. Of course, I wish GoT was nominated for more (I love that show). But all jokes aside I thought that FX's "The Bridge" was a stellar show, it should have gotten a nomination. And here we go with the most talked about controversy. Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany. She was nominated a few years back but her performance in Orphan Black was not even barely in the ballpark, it was so far away that even Thrones' Lena Headey couldn't catch it (And she was a phoneme this season). Maslany plays almost half a dozen characters in the show Orphan Black, which talks about the government cloning people. If you have time to binge watch this summer, I definitely suggest Orphan Black.

Everything About Everything!

Back again internet, I'm so antsy today, posting a whole ton of stuff.

We (as in LTNTV) are planning to launch a channel called Everything about Everything. Of course it is in the wraps for now, but we are getting to it. This channel will be a newsy type channel (no means to plagerisimo Mr. Phillip Defranco there).

And of course this blog isn't just going to be a news blog, it's going to be literally Everything... about Everything.

The First Post

Well hello there internet. Welcome to LTNTV.

Just before you start liking, sharing and reblogging stuff let's get to know each other just a little bit better. (maybe to the point of a craigslist ad) LTNTV is a company/group created by Larry, Tiffany and Nicole. Of course this blog post can't be written by all three people at a time (OR CAN IT? p.s- no it can't). And because of that we will leave our names at the bottom of each post! Our company is located in the beautiful Vancouver area on the UBC campus.
Taking into everything you just read, would you like to buy a sofa... I mean... nevermind.

Here's how things are going to work around here. Our Youtube Channel has yet to become reasonably big so... we are definitely going to wait until it at least hits 100 before uploading vlogs. Of course this blog will be functioning under that. So we are going to post anytime we like to until we have a stone-cut schedule. Sound great? Okay.
